Vodafone enables 3.6Mbps HSDPA

3.6mbps mobile broadbandVodafone's HSDPA network here in the UK has been upgraded to support data rates faster than 1.8Mbps.  Over the last few months, parts of the network have been upgraded to support speeds up to 3.6Mbps, mainly in the most popular areas in the UK. After tweaking the TCP settings that I posted previously, I ran a few speed tests using my USB Modem.  I'm sitting in a cafe in central London and I've got NetPerSec running in the background - it's a speed monitoring app. I started up a couple of large downloads (I always find downloading linux distros useful here) and found that I'm hitting peaks of around 2.5Mbps, with an average speed of around 2Mbps - take a look at the screenshot.
