Vodafone UK APN / GPRS settings

If you're planning on using the internet via your mobile or data card you may need Vodafone's apn settings:

• APN: internet (or pp.vodafone.co.uk if you're using prepay)
• Username: web
• Password: web
• Session type: Continuous / permanent
• Authentication: Normal
• Security: Off

If you're creating a manual dial up entry in Windows, rather than using a connection manager such as Vodafone's Mobile Connect software, you'll need to tell your device to use the right apn. Here's how you enter the settings in Windows:

• Go to control panel
• Go to phone and modem options
• Find your data device in the list of modems (second tab)
• Click on properties, go to advanced
• Enter the following in the text box: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"

Now when you connect, just enter web as the username and password and you're away!
