The Compaq CG61 is a cracking budget laptop, with features you find on a mid-tier laptop but for the price of a netbook. The speedy processor, HD graphics chip and generous storage make this laptop a pleasure to use. It's not the best looking laptop but sports a 6 cell battery life which should give you a good 3-4 hours on the go.
Dell Inspiron 11Z
The Dell Inspiron 11z is Dell's entry into the 11.6 inch CULV market, and they've done a great job. The ultra-thin 11z sports a glossy 11.6 inch screen, a comfortable keyboard and a multi-touch touchpad. Dell are positioning the 11z as a low cost laptop to match the performance of a regular laptop, but with the portability of a netbook. The battery life comes in at just 3 hours, a little on the low side for this class of device.
