Hi Jan, the E220 modems are network locked, so you'll only be able to use them with a Vodafone SIM card. The only way around this is to contact Vodafone and get the device unlocked.

I downloaded ver 2.07 and tried to install it, but it's stuck at the point, 5 remaining items to be installed. Has anyone had the same problem, and any way to solve this?

I am using an e220 modem coonected through Mascom Wireless. I have been using it on a Windows XP computer and it didn't give problems.
I have recently bought a windows vista Laptop and upon trying to install the modem it couldn't read. so I upgraded the modem through free downloads that are in your website. Now it cannot pick "mascom 3G" only "Mascom 2G" is available. Please assist since now I am unable to access internet through my modem.
I purchased the E220 modem for use on my macbook and although the modem is being recognised by the computer, I get a message telling me that the Mascom sim card is not a Vodaphone card. This despite Mascom (the network provider in Botswana)being part of the Vodaphone network.
Is there a software solution fo this?
