Mobile Broadband Rocks' review of Vodafone
Vodafone offer a great range of devices, from entry level prepay modems, through to the super fast USB Modem Stick Pro aka the Option Icon 431, and the Dell Mini 10 netbook - which has mobile broadband built in.
Price Plans
Vodafone's price plans are based on 1, 3 and 5GB data bundles with a reasonable £15 per GB overage charge. Vodafone's prepay offering is unique - there's no expiry date on their top ups, which makes it ideal for light users. You can top up with 1GB of data and it could last you for months.
Changing Price Plans
If you purchase a contract mobile broadband connection from Vodafone, and find that you need to move to a different price plan - to either increase or decrease your bundle size, then the following rules apply:
- You can move up to a more expensive price plan at any time, just call customer services and they will arrange it for you
- You can only move down to a lower price plan after you've had your contract for nine months or longer. If you've bought a netbook via Vodafone, you cannot move down to a lower price plan for the duration of your 24 month contract
